CLASSESYoga
Gentle movement and postures designed to reduce stress, increase self-awareness and builds strength and balance.
Stretch & Strengthen
Basic flexibility combined with muscular strengthening exercises.
Dance Excercise as Therapy
Mindful Movement Meditation
A guided meditation Moving mindfully to meditative music.
Sacred Healing Dance Ritual
Mindful Movement Body Scan
Body scan meditation directs attention to areas of the body where stress could be held unconsciously, and provides access to release and relaxation.
Research suggests that including body scan meditation in a mindfulness practice significantly reduces sleep problems and improves symptoms and severity of fatigue and depression. Heart Mind Meditation
Tuning into the heart brain intelligence by using the breath to connect with your body’s energy field, through a guided meditation.
Jam Session
Starts with a moment of silence, followed by a Check-in, and dance music from different genres as each individual moves to meet their body’s needs. We conclude with a checkout.

Comment from the Director
As our country struggles with the Covid-19 pandemic and a social justice uprising, it is critical that we follow the CDC guidelines and practice personal distancing, wear a face mask in public, and practice personal hygiene by washing our hands regularly. We at AHI are proud to provide virtual programs to support the community with basic self-care practices to reduce the spread of Covid-19 as we boost our immune systems. We are in this together and are committed to supporting ourselves by supporting our communities. |
